Defence & Strategic Affairs
The Indian Hawk is a non-partisan platform delivering evidence-based reporting and expert analysis on Indian defence, military modernisation, geopolitics, and national security — trusted by policymakers, defence professionals, and informed citizens.
01 — Who We Are
About The Indian Hawk
The Indian Hawk closes the information gap between India's defence establishment and the public. We are not affiliated with any political party, government agency, or defence contractor. Our editorial loyalty is to objective inquiry — and to India's national security interest.
Operated by Shri Ram Media Ventures Pvt Ltd and headquartered in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, we have published rigorous defence and strategic affairs analysis since 2019. Our funding comes from reader subscriptions and non-intrusive display advertising — never from military organisations, defence contractors, or government agencies.
02 — Our Mission
What Drives Us
We go beyond headlines. Every piece — from missile system analysis to theatre command explainers — is anchored in primary documents and domain expertise.
All claims pass a mandatory two-step editorial review. Sensitive claims require at least two independent, verifiable sources before publication. Read our Fact-Checking Policy.
No gift, paid travel, or payment from covered entities is accepted. Sponsored content is clearly labelled and kept separate from newsroom analysis. See our Code of Ethics.
From India's space capabilities to counter-drone warfare, we contextualise every development within India's broader strategic posture and the Indo-Pacific security environment.
