The West Indies won the toss and chose to field first, hoping to exploit the conditions early on. England’s openers managed to put together a steady start, showing initial signs of resilience. However, their progress slowed as wickets began to fall at regular intervals, with Motie’s skillful bowling at the center of England’s troubles. The left-arm spinner finished with an impressive four-wicket haul, limiting England’s lineup to a below-par score of 209 runs.
