In a major win for India's defence manufacturing sector, Axiscades Technologies has announced it has secured substantial orders worth approximately ₹600 crore from leading Indian defence organizations, including the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BHEL).
These contracts are a significant step forward for the "Atmanirbhar Bharat" (Self-Reliant India) initiative. They involve the development and supply of advanced modules and units for critical projects, including state-of-the-art radar systems and submarine modifications.

Key Orders Fueling India's Defence Modernization ❗
The orders are a mix of prototype development and future production, with delivery schedules spanning the next 2-5 years. Here’s a breakdown of the key projects:
- Surveillance Radar Systems: A DRDO subsidiary, LRDE, has awarded Axiscades a ₹203 crore order for the development of Digital Transmit Modules (DTM) and Digital Receive Modules (DRM). This will be followed by a large-scale production order of 400 units.
- Sukhoi-30MKI Fighter Jet Upgrade: Another ₹124 crore order from LRDE is for the prototype development of the Exciter and Receiver unit for the Virupaksh Radar, which is part of the Sukhoi-30MKI upgrade program. This project alone could lead to the upgradation of 84 fighter jets.
- KUSHA Project Contribution: BHEL has placed a ₹159 crore order for the development of a Digital Beam Forming unit for the Long Range Battle Management Radar (LRBMR), which is a part of the crucial KUSHA project. The company will supply 75 units over five years.
- Submarine Systems & More: The deals also include an ₹80 crore order from BHEL for the production of SONAR subsystems for submarine modifications and a ₹150 crore order for advanced digital transmit and receive modules.
