Chhota Nagra, West Singhbhum, Jharkhand  – In a tragic turn of events, Sub-Inspector Sunil Kumar Mandal of the CRPF 193 Battalion made the ultimate sacrifice during an anti-Maoist operation in Chhota Nagra, West Singhbhum district. On March 22, 2025, while engaging with Maoist insurgents in a high-risk mission, Sub-Inspector Mandal demonstrated unparalleled courage, giving his life in service to the nation.

The operation, part of ongoing efforts to neutralize Maoist strongholds in Jharkhand, saw fierce exchanges of fire between the security forces and armed insurgents. Despite the intense danger, Sub-Inspector Mandal’s resolve remained unshaken as he led his team with bravery and determination.
