Today, August 5, 2025, marks a major milestone for India's military industry as the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS) launches its first Annual Trident Lecture Series (ATLS). The series, which is hosted at Delhi Cantt's Manekshaw Centre, attempts to promote dialogue about the necessity of joint force integration and the future of combat.

Controlling the Battlespace of the Future

'Dominating the Future Battlespace' is the topic for this year's series. The keynote lecture is given by General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), who sets the stage for talks about how technology is playing a part in battle and how it is evolving. In order to thrive in a strategically complex environment, his talk highlights the necessity of the armed forces' smooth integration.

Paying Tribute to India's First CDS

The publication of the 'General Bipin Rawat Paper' on 'Manned-Unmanned Teaming' is one of the event's highlights. This essay honors India's first CDS, whose ideas about unity and force modernization still shape defense strategy today. The crucial subject of combining autonomous and human systems in military operations is the main emphasis of the article.

The Integrated Defense Staff Chief also discusses the 'Urgency in Tri-Services Reforms,' highlighting the continuous endeavors to integrate and change the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. According to the official program released  the military leadership uses this occasion as a vital forum to debate and determine the course of India's defense capabilities going forward.
