Hyderabad, March 26, 2025 – General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) today to review its cutting-edge training programs and infrastructure. The visit underscored the Indian Army’s commitment to fostering highly skilled, technologically adept personnel in line with the vision of a #ViksitBharat by 2047.

During his visit, COAS was briefed on MCEME’s extensive training curriculum, which is designed to produce battle-ready tech warriors equipped to handle modern warfare challenges. The college’s emphasis on emerging technologies, hands-on experience, and innovation was highlighted as a key factor in preparing the Indian Army for future operational demands.

General Dwivedi toured state-of-the-art laboratories and inspected advanced infrastructure that supports research, development, and technical training. He also reviewed several indigenous projects aimed at promoting self-reliance and enhancing the Army’s operational capabilities. Expressing his appreciation, COAS praised MCEME’s strides in integrating modern technology with military training, calling it a "cornerstone of the Indian Army’s future readiness."


"MCEME’s efforts in cultivating a professional outlook and advancing technical expertise are commendable. The focus on innovation and self-reliance ensures that our forces remain at the forefront of technological evolution," General Dwivedi remarked.

The COAS also interacted with faculty and troops, lauding their dedication and high standards of professionalism. He emphasized the importance of continuous skill development and adaptation to new-age warfare technologies.
