EAM Jaishankar Embarks on Diplomatic Visit to Singapore and China for Strategic Talks

India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar visits Singapore and China for key bilateral meetings and the SCO Foreign Ministers' summit.

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar is set to begin a significant diplomatic mission to Singapore and China from July 13 to July 15, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and engaging in multilateral discussions.

Strategic Meetings in Singapore

During his visit to Singapore, Dr. Jaishankar will meet with his Singaporean counterpart and senior leaders. These meetings are part of routine India-Singapore diplomatic engagements aimed at boosting economic, defense, and regional cooperation.

Participation in SCO Foreign Ministers’ Meet in China

Following his Singapore visit, the minister will travel to Tianjin, China, where he will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. This summit is a critical platform for discussing regional security, economic collaboration, and geopolitical developments.

Dr. Jaishankar is also expected to hold bilateral talks on the sidelines of the SCO meeting, engaging with key counterparts to advance India's foreign policy goals and strategic interests in the regions.
