Israel-Palestine Conflict: A day after nine Palestinians, including an elderly woman, were killed by Israeli troops in the Jenin refugee camp, one of the worst military operations by Israel in the occupied West Bank in recent memory, Israel has launched numerous airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army announced on Friday that it was currently conducting strikes in the Gaza Strip.
The Agence France-Presse news agency was informed by security sources in Gaza that there had been 15 attacks. Before fighter jets struck, Israeli drones reportedly fired two missiles at targets in Gaza, resulting in four significant explosions, according to witnesses and local media.
There were no reports of casualties right away.

According to the Israeli army, the airstrikes on Gaza, which has 2.1 million inhabitants and is one of the world’s most densely populated territories, came after two rockets were fired at Israel at around midnight (22:00 GMT).
Southern Israel had heard air raid sirens both during the initial two rocket launches and again during the Israeli airstrikes.
Israel’s Channel 12 broadcast footage of Israeli interceptor missiles being launched into the night sky above the city of Ashkelon, which is roughly 12 kilometers (7 miles) north of Gaza. The Israeli army said that the rockets were intercepted by Israel’s air defense system.

No organization has taken ownership of the alleged rocket fire.
