Uttarakhand Weather News Today: Heavy incessant rains since last 6 days, puts Uttarakhand in trouble. Gangotri, Yamunotri and Badrinath Highway blocked due to landslides at several places. Around 400 Kanwar Yatris who came by bike are stranded at Kheerganga in Uttarkashi, over 2,000 at Gangnani and more than 3,000 at Badrinath Highway in Chamoli district of Garhwal region.
Weather havoc continues in Uttarakhand as incessant rains have put people’s lives in danger. The road leading to the National Highway is closed due to landslide at multiple places. Rivers are in spate due to heavy rains and flowing above danger level.
From Haridwar to Rishikesh, the water level of river Ganga has reached near the danger mark. On the other hand, if we talk about the upper areas, due to the torrential rains, houses and apple orchads of farmers have been washed away.
Uttarakhand Weather News Today: Uttarakhand State Meteorological Centre issues warning for 5 districts
The state meteorological department has issued yellow alert warning for the five districts i.e.Tehri-Garhwal, Pauri-Garhwal, Nainital, Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar for heavy rainfall.
The Meteorological department has also warned people to take the precautinery steps while traveling in these districts, or prevent traveling for some days keeping the harsh weather in mind.
Uttarakhand Weather News Today: Water logging brings people on road in Roorkee
Due to water logging enraged people from South Civil Line located near Delhi Highway in Roorkee blocked the highway in protest against the authorities for not taking any substantial steps to prevent it.
People say that for the last two days people’s houses are fully logged of water, but no one from the administration is reaching the spot despite official information.
Meanwhile, its also troules the Kanwar Yatris leaving from that route. During this, there was also a scuffle on the spot. On receiving the information, SP Dehat Swapna Kishore Singh is leaving for the spot along with the police team.
